Trustworthy, dependable, think out of the box, loyal, find solutions before coming forward with a problem.

What is the best thing an applicant/ new employee can do to impress you?

Listen.

How do you think an applicant can stand out from the crowd?

Communication.

How do you define professionalism?

Professionalism is reached from many angles –

• Firm, confident handshake and looking into someone's eyes when speaking.

• Appearance is important and making an effort (we are after all in the luxury business). 

• Not being afraid to speak up. 

• Having a list to do each day and trying to complete it (the list will only get bigger the next day).

• Always come to a meeting with a notebook. 

• Never be afraid to work past 6pm - it shows willingness to learn. 

• Ask questions if you don't understand. 

• If you make a mistake learn from it.

• Answering a phone call with a smile and helpful attitude always helps

What are the top three reasons you might reject an applicant and do you have any tips for candidates?

When a candidate is not warm and friendly or when a candidate shows no initiative. When a candidate is lazy.
