Inspiring Future Designers: The Halley Academy Career Fair

At United in Design, we are always excited to engage with young minds, inspiring and informing the next generation about the diverse opportunities within the interior design industry. That’s why we were delighted to take part in The Halley Academy’s Careers Fair on the 7th of March ‘25.

The event provided a fantastic platform for students to explore various career paths and industries, giving them valuable insights into different professions. As an organisation dedicated to championing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the interior design sector, we were thrilled to connect with approxiametly 100 students, share our experiences, and highlight the exciting possibilities available to them in design.

With a wide range of professionals in attendance, the Careers Fair created an interactive space for students to ask questions, gain firsthand knowledge, and start thinking about their future career journeys. It was inspiring to witness their curiosity and enthusiasm as they explored different industries and the skills required to succeed.

We look forward to continuing our engagement with young talent, ensuring that careers in interior design are accessible to all. A huge thank you to The Halley Academy and amazing Isabel Ruthven, Deputy Head of Franklin School, Careers Lead for hosting such an impactful event.

We are excited for future collaborations that support students in making informed career decisions, when looking to enter the industry. If you are a school looking to provide students with industry insights and would like an industry expert to speak at your event, please get in touch—we would love to be involved, by signing up here!
