Introducing Hatta Byng
Hatta Byng is the editor of House & Garden magazine. She studied History of Art and Architecture before working in interior design for 3 years. Hatta then spent 2 years at the South African edition of House & Garden before returning to the UK and joining the team here. She arrived at the magazine as features editor in 2006 and became the deputy editor in October 2013, taking on the role of editor in 2014.

Miles De Lange is an exclusive agent for Alexander Lamont + MILES and specialises in high end interiors. Miles is a regular presence at many international Interior Design industry events and a familiar face at DCCH where his showroom is based. Introducing Charu Ghandi
An international upbringing, formal architectural training and an enquiring intellect inform Charu Gandhi’s crisp, elegant and considered approach to interior design at her global practice, Elicyon. Hay-Joung Hwang is the Director of Hay Designs Ltd, a landscape/garden design practice with an international reputation for making gardens that combine traditionalism and modernism. Introducing Mimi Shodeinde
British-Nigerian designer Mimi Shodeinde is the founder of Miminat Designs. Miminat Designs is a London-based interior architecture and design studio creating functional art and relaxed elegant spaces. The studio works across private residential, hospitality and retail projects across the globe as well as creating one-a-kind sculptural furniture, lighting and objects. Miminat Designs was included in House & Garden Top 100 Designers in 2023 and the Elle Décor A-List 2023.

Introducing Emily Tobin
After spending a year in Hong Kong working for Time Out magazine, Emily Tobin joined House & Garden, where she worked for 11 years. Emily Tobin joined The World of Interiors in 2022 where she is currently managing editor. Her writing on arts and interiors has appeared in a broad range of the top publications worldwide and she had collaborated on a book charting the history of English Interior with decorator David Mlinaric. Her comprehensive knowledge of the workings of the Interior Design industry is a valuable asset to the United in Design Steering Committee.

Laura Hammett brings her extensive experience of the international property market, along with a thorough understanding of the dynamics and requirements of contemporary living to our steering committee. Laura and her husband Aaron are directors of Laura Hammett; a multi-award-winning, London based interior architecture and design studio, specialising in detail driven luxury residential projects for private clients and property developers throughout the UK and abroad.
